An Insulated French Patio Door for Side and Rear Entries
This thermal break iron French single patio door with tempered glass is designed for exterior side entries, rear entries, patio access, and smaller openings where a full double door is not needed. The single-door layout keeps daily access simple, while the glass panel brings natural light into the connected room or hallway.
The thermal break frame helps reduce heat transfer through the metal structure, making TFD024 a better choice than a standard non-thermal-break iron door for homes in colder climates, hotter climates, or areas with large seasonal temperature changes. The tempered glass adds strength and safety for everyday exterior use.
TFD024 is custom made and can be adjusted to fit the project. Although this product is shown as a single French patio door, the same style can be customized as a double door, a wider single door, or a full entry system with matching sidelights or a transom. Size, glass finish, color, swing direction, handle style, jamb depth, door top design, and thermal break specifications can also be customized.
Who This Door Is Best For:
This door is best for homeowners who need an insulated single French door for a patio, side entry, rear entry, or smaller exterior opening.
It works well for spaces where natural light is important but a large double-door entry would be unnecessary or too wide for the opening.
TFD024 is also a good option for customers comparing thermal break French patio doors, insulated steel French doors, single exterior French doors, and custom iron doors for side or rear access.
FAQ:
Is TFD024 a front door or patio door?
TFD024 is best positioned as a thermal break French single patio door, but it can also be used for side entries, rear entries, or smaller exterior openings depending on the project.
What does thermal break mean?
Thermal break means the frame includes a low-conductive barrier between the exterior and interior sides of the metal structure. This helps reduce heat transfer through the door frame.
Why choose a thermal break patio door?
A patio, side, or rear door may be used often and can be exposed to outdoor temperature changes. A thermal break frame helps improve comfort compared with a standard non-thermal-break iron door.
Can this design be made as a double door?
Yes. Since this product is custom made, the same style can be customized as a double door if the opening is wider or if the customer wants a larger patio entry.
