An Insulated Arched French Entry with Side Light

This thermal break arched iron French single door with sidelights is designed for exterior entries that need natural light, a taller architectural shape, and better insulation than a standard non-thermal-break iron door. The arched top helps the door fit curved or taller entry openings, while the sidelights make the full entry feel wider and brighter without requiring a double-door layout.

The single active door is practical for daily use, and the side glass helps balance the overall opening. This layout works well when the home needs more presence than a simple single door, but the customer does not necessarily need two active door panels.

TFD036 is custom made and can be adjusted to fit the project. Although this product is shown as an arched single door with sidelights, the same style can be customized as a single door without sidelights, a double door, or a full entry system with a matching transom. Size, glass finish, color, swing direction, handle style, jamb depth, sidelight width, arch shape, door top design, and thermal break specifications can also be customized.

Who This Door Is Best For:
This door is best for homeowners who want a single active front door but need the entry to look wider, brighter, and more complete.

It works well for arched or taller exterior openings, covered porches, and homes where a standard square-top single door may look too plain or too narrow.

TFD036 is also a strong option for customers comparing thermal break front doors, iron doors with sidelights, arched French doors, and custom iron entry doors for cold-weather or high-temperature-change areas.

FAQ:

What does the arched top add to the design?
The arched top gives the entry a softer and taller profile. It works especially well for homes with curved openings or front entries that need more architectural shape than a square-top door.

What does thermal break mean?
Thermal break means the frame includes a low-conductive barrier between the exterior and interior sides of the metal frame. This helps reduce heat transfer through the door structure.

Can this design be made without sidelights?
Yes. Since the door is custom made, the same arched style can be made as a single door without sidelights if the opening is narrower.

Can I choose a different glass finish?
Yes. Clear glass gives the brightest look, while frosted, Aquatex, rainstorm, water cubic, or other privacy glass options can be selected for less visibility.
