Openable Glass and Nature-Inspired Ironwork for Everyday Entry Use
This openable glass iron single door with two sidelights is designed for exterior entries that need one active door, added side light, and more daily function than a fixed-glass entry system. The center door keeps everyday access simple, while the two sidelights help the entry feel wider and bring more daylight into the home.
The openable glass panel allows fresh air in without opening the full door, making it useful for covered porches, garden-facing entries, courtyard homes, and front doors where ventilation and easy glass cleaning matter. A screen option can also be added behind the iron frames to help keep insects out when the glass is open.
The nature-inspired ironwork gives ED401 a softer, more organic appearance than traditional heavy scrollwork. Its flowing pattern works well with stucco homes, transitional exteriors, modern courtyard entries, garden-style homes, and covered porch openings where the customer wants decorative iron detail without a very formal look.
ED401 is custom made and can be adjusted to fit the project. Although this product is shown as a single front door with two sidelights, openable glass, and nature-inspired ironwork, the same style can be customized by size, glass finish, color, swing direction, handle style, jamb depth, sidelight width, screen option, iron pattern, transom, door top design, and thermal break upgrade.
Who This Door Is Best For:
This door is best for homeowners who want a single active iron front door with two sidelights, openable glass, and a softer organic iron pattern.
It works well for covered porches, garden-facing entries, courtyard homes, stucco exteriors, and remodel projects where a standard single door may look too narrow but a double door is not needed.
ED401 is also a good option for customers comparing iron doors with openable glass, iron front doors with sidelights, wrought iron screen doors, ventilated iron entry doors, and custom iron single doors for mild-climate or covered-entry applications.
FAQ:
Does ED401 have openable glass?
Yes. ED-series doors can be positioned with openable glass. The glass panel can open for airflow, easier cleaning, and daily convenience while the main iron door stays closed.
Can this door be used with a screen?
Yes. A screen option can be added between the openable glass window and the iron frames. This helps keep insects out while allowing fresh air through the entry.
What makes the ironwork different?
The ironwork has a plant-inspired, flowing pattern instead of a traditional heavy scroll design. It gives the door a softer decorative look while keeping the entry clean.
Is ED401 a thermal break door?
No. ED401 is a standard iron entry door by default. Thermal break construction can be discussed as an upgrade if the project is in a colder region or if insulation is a priority. Please review TED401 for thermal break option.
