From July 4th to 7th, 2025, a flood occurred in the Texas Hill Country region including Kerr County. Due to the heavy rainfall of 5 to 11 inches (approximately 130 to 280 millimeters) in a short period of time, the water level of the Guadalupe River rose significantly. This flood has claimed at least 145 lives, among which at least 116 were from Kerr County, and 8 people are missing. Most of the houses were damaged as the doors for entry were not selected to withstand such fierce floods. As a result, the powerful flood directly broke through or even washed away the doors of the residents' buildings and entered the rooms, causing huge damage to the property and people inside.

When floodwaters rise, every inch of your home becomes a battleground for safety. What is the first barriers to face the storm? Your front door. A flimsy entrance won’t just fail—it could turn a manageable threat into a disaster, letting water, debris, and uncertainty seep in.
That’s why choosing a sturdy iron door isn’t just about curb appeal. It’s about investing in a defender that stands unshaken when the worst hits. Crafted to resist corrosion, withstand powerful currents, and hold firm against the weight of flood-borne debris, our iron doors are engineered for one mission: to keep your home’s first line of defense unbroken.
Imagine watching floodwaters surge, knowing your door isn’t bending, warping, or giving way. It’s not just metal—it’s peace of mind. It’s the assurance that your family, your memories, and your sanctuary stay protected, even when nature tests its limits.
Don’t let floods catch you unprepared. Your home deserves a door that matches your commitment to safety. Choose strength. Choose reliability. Choose a wrought iron door that turns “what if” into “we’re ready.”
How to choose a door that can safeguard you and your family's safety in the face of flood disasters
1.Choose iron materials for the entrance doors instead of wooden or other lighter and more fragile materials. The following picture shows the comparison of the load-bearing capacity of two different types of entrance doors - wooden and iron - when subjected to flood impact.

2. Flood disasters are extremely powerful and have a significant impact on buildings. So if you need to choose a sturdy door for the main entrance of your house, you might consider installing a wrought iron door. This is because iron-made door frames are heavy, stable, and durable, and they offer excellent protection against natural disasters such as floods. We can select an iron door that is reliable based on its weight, thickness, and corrosion resistance.
Floods are merciless, but the protection of our homes is caring. Choosing a qualified main entrance iron door is an important defense line for protecting our homes. I hope everyone can pay attention to this and consider various aspects such as material, craftsmanship, and sealing performance. Let the iron door build a solid and reliable safety barrier for our families when floods come.
